Kazan: park from scratch
A couple of years ago in the capital of Tatarstan, Gorkinsko-Ometievsky forest park was landscaped. There appeared plumbing and electricity, bridges and parking lots, an entrance group in the form style was built, the festival site and a sports center.
Now there is also a pump-track for cyclists and an eco-school - and that's not all, because in the near future commercial partners will join the financing.
Tomsk: a new pedestrian boulevard instead of stalls
Until 2015, Plekhanov Lane in Tomsk was filled with tents with goods, vegetables and electronics. Then it was decided to change the concept, turning the place into a pedestrian boulevard.
Thanks to a joint project, the city hall and private investors changed the asphalt and curbs here, planted trees and lawn, set up benches and restored the facades. The pedestrian zone is completed by a fountain with a diameter of three meters, specially ordered in St. Petersburg.
Tyumen: sports field instead of the pit
In many ratings, Tyumen ranks first in terms of standard of living among Russian cities. It is logical that the public spaces are updated regularly. One of them has an interesting story.
In 2013, a church began to be built in Komsomolsky Square. The stage of preparing the foundation pit was reached, but at that moment the local residents, who opposed the construction, expressed discontent. As a result, the church was moved, the pit was closed, and the park was landscaped. Now here is the largest sports ground in the region with an area of 520 square meters.
Samara: art space instead of the registry office
At the beginning of the decade in Samara, the building of the registry office archive was flooded. After that, it was empty for quite a while until Art Loft space appeared. Its main specialization is the union of people of creative professions who do not go to offices, but need workshops, showrooms and halls. Musicians settled here first, dance and photo studios, recording studios, etc. began to follow.
The Art Loft signature is a unique atmosphere and design. Installations are made from books and old armchairs; bottles turn into vases; bright graffiti is painted on the walls. And occasional small festivals are held here.
