Arturo Erbsman
French designer Arturo Erbsman,
obtained a masters Degree in Product Design from Ecole Nationale Supérieure des Arts Décoratifs, Paris.
After freelancing with various renowned design firms in Paris and New York, he set up his own studio in 2012. Soon after he created the series ‘Water lamps’ for Milan Design Week ‘13, which includes the icicle chandelier Polar Light, and the award-winning condensation lamp Atmos.
In fall 2015, he embarked on a sailboat to the Arctic seas to study and record his interactions with a snapped-off piece of iceberg, in a series of light experiments. Since then, he has been persistently exploring the interface between manmade and the elements of nature in his lighting and urban furniture.
His works have been featured in several editions of Vogue, Architectural Digest, IDEAT, Interni, The Financial Times, Le Monde, etc., and are a part of private collections across Europe, US, Singapore & UAE.
He has collaborated with brands like Roche Bobois, Boffi, Le Bon Marché, La Rinascente, Sineu Graff, and institutions like the city council of Nice, Monaco, and Moscow.
